Port of Cork City Marina

The Port of Cork is delighted to announce that the Port of Cork City Marina is now complete and open for business and is located just a 1 minute walk from the Clarion Hotel Cork. The marina provides approximately 180metres of berthage. In early 2010 the Port of Cork was approached by the Clipper Round the World race organising committee and asked to investigate the opportunity of the Clipper fleet coming up to Cork City Quays. With no suitable facilities available at the time, the Port of Cork quickly saw the opportunity to advance a key aspect of the leisure strategy and to provide marina facilities in the heart of Cork City.

"friendly service and fabulous location..."

Really ideal for short break with family. Excellent facilities - friendly service and fabulous location in Irelands real capital! Nice pool and gym facilities- very caring staff in kids club. Spotlessly clean and good value for money.

"I could not fault any aspect of our stay"

I stayed with my husband for a function and from the moment we arrived at reception we were treated with courtesy. Our room was beautiful to say the least, with dual aspect. One looking over the river and one looking on to a side street. Bathroom was spacious with both a bath and a large powerful shower. Little touches made the difference. We were provided with mineral water, 2 of still and 2 sparkling. Little boxes of chocolates were left on out bedside tables...On check out we were both provided with a bottle of water for our journey. I could not fault any aspect of our stay.

"Central location and just 5 minutes from the railway station"

Central location and just 5 minutes from the railway station. St. Patrick St. and the English market a short walking distance from the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by the hotel with waterfront location.

"recommended by friends and it lived up to it"

The hotel had been recommended by friends and it lived up to it, very friendly staff. lovely large and clean rooms especially the ones overlooking the river with balconies, perfect for a summer evening. As previously commented on, the location is great minutes from the bus station although a taxi is nearly as cheap if there are two people. It is also minutes walk from the great bars and restaurants. The Clarion itself has an excellent choice of bar and restaurants amd excellent room service.

"Service was very friendly and helpful"

My partner treated me to a romantic week-end in a room with a balcony overlooking the Lee, what a treat! The views were lovely, the room was spotless, bed was comfy, bathroom was luxurious, nice tea/coffee facilities. Dinner in the restaurant was top notch with quite unusual presentations and dishes. Service was very friendly and helpful.
